Review Policies (12/26/15)

Hi, I’m Bea Flores. I’m a blogger and a book reviewer. Before anything else, I just want to thank you for stopping by to this page. I understand that bloggers and authors help each other but to maintain accordance, both sides must issue a list or a statement that contains all their DOs and DON’Ts. This is in no way compulsory but is highly recommended in order to have a better and organized deal. Before I review books, I just want to let authors/publishers know my review policies so that there’ll be no confusion. First off, let’s start with the format. The formats listed below are the ones I accept with their rightful percentage of review possibility:

  • Physical Copy (100%)
  • Audio books (65%)
  • EBooks in: *Still depends on the book, percentage below are estimated percentage*

– EPUB (75%)

– .MOBI (75%)

– PDF (50%)

Moving on, I reserve the right to not continue reading your book. Although this rarely happens, I must include the fact that if the book doesn’t work for me, I will automatically email the author as soon as possible to tell them the situation. If this happens, the book copy you sent me will be promoted but not reviewed. Authors must not worry about nasty comments and book reselling because in making a book review trade with me, I completely understand your rights as a published author.

Next thing is my schedule. I’m not a full time blogger so it means I still have other things to prioritize. I understand that authors have scheduled reviews for every bloggers but they must also understand that there are situations that are unexpected. If this happens, I will email the author/publisher as soon as possible.

Other than that, I don’t approve all the review requests. Authors and bloggers must respect each other in order to make a trade work. When sending an email, please be polite in requesting and never put up pressure. We all have schedules of our own and I completely understand that. But as I mentioned before, there are situations that are unexpected. With trading with me, I expect that you understand my schedule, too. If you have a particular time frame for reviews, please mention/add it in your original email request.

As for the genres, I don’t have any specific preferred one. But the books I often read are in:

  • Young Adult
  • Romance
  • Fantasy
  • Science Fiction
  • Poetry
  • Self-help

Again, I read all kinds of genres. Books are books. So if you have a book review to request and the genre’s not listed above, feel free to send me the synopsis and the first chapter of the book. There I’ll decide whether I’ll accept the request or not.
