Book Review: New World: Rising by Jennifer Wilson

New World: RisingNew World: Rising by Jennifer Wilson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

New World: Rising is the first book in Jennifer Wilson’s New World series. It follows Phoenix, a girl who promised her late mother to be strong and to survive outside the walls. But can Phoenix survive? Knowing that it’s dangerous beyond the sanctuary?
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars! This book’s clearly one of the best books I’ve read so far in 2016! I read this book without knowing or reading the description—you know that, peeps! Anyways, I was surprised by the sudden plot twists that happened. I like it! It’s very thrilling—makes the story exciting!

Speaking of the book cover, I love it! The new cover’s beautiful and I’m so happy that the recent book covers match! I always like series that match book covers. I mean, who doesn’t?

Getting back, the book wasn’t slow-paced which I like. The best part of reading this book is having to know Phoenix! I love her—I love how she acts and how she talks. She’s very fierce and strong; she never lets anyone tell her what to do. I even almost think I was her. But for some reason, I can’t be her ‘cause she’s better—let’s make it this way: I’m her twin but she acts like she’s my older sister. Better? Better.

I highly recommend this book. If you’re into dystopian novels, then this book’s definitely for you!
