Book Review: Searching for Katherine by Melissa Holden

Hey guys! Today, I’m doing a book review! TADADADA!!!! So obviously, the book that I’ll be reviewing is Searching for Katherine by Melissa Holden. I finished the book 2 days and a half which a record. The book’s an easy read ‘cause it’s just 130+ pages but it’s totally worth it!

Before I review this book, here is just an overview of what the book’s about:

Searching For Katherine

Jennifer and Katherine are living the typical post-university life, drinking lots of tea and going clubbing. But when Katherine is kidnapped in a night club, Jennifer’s whole world is turned upside down.

Could her luck finally have changed for the better when Marcus enters her life, or is it about to get a whole lot worse?

To start off, I just want to thank Author Melissa Holden for sending me a physical signed copies of her books: Searching for Katherine, The Snow Killer. Enough with that, let’s get going!

To be honest, I really don’t know what to say in book reviews. I often feel overwhelmed to book reviews like this that I don’t know what to say. But yes! This book’s amazing. At first I really wasn’t into reading the book ‘cause I still can’t get over the FSOG series but I managed, though. On the first day of reading the book, I can remember that it’s 12:30am when I started. It was kind of a rough start ‘cause I feel dizzy and sleepy but I tell myself that I should read this book in order to get over the last books I’ve read. I didn’t regret forcing myself to read ‘cause I literally enjoyed the book.

I was interested in the book ‘cause the fact that Jennifer and Katherine are best friends make me dive into the book even more. I love my best friend and I love reading such books that involve that kind of concept slash characters. I love how powerful friendship can be.. and I think that’s the reason I loved the book. It’s thrilling and it made me curious for awhile.

I don’t how to review without any spoilers but I’m trying my best guys, really am.

Moving on, I like the plot twists. It’s shocking but at the same time really enticing. I can hardly bring down the book and that’s a good sign! I just wish the book two’s published. I would want to know what will happen next.

As for the characters, I really like Jennifer’s attitude though I do not support her for ignoring her child. As for Marcus, I like him at the first 3 to 4 chapters of the book but I started hating him when I figured that he might be the one who’s done the kidnapping but at the end, I was somehow, heartbroken knowing he’s obsessed with Jennifer. I like the fact that Marcus really loved Jennifer and that all the things he had done were all true. As for Katherine, I like how care-free she was in the first 3 chapters but I like Jennifer a lot than her.

If you are by far convinced with this review, I would like to say let’s support Author Melissa by buying her books on kindle. All her books are $0.99! It’s really affordable and I assure you, you’ll never regret it. So what are you waiting for? Grab a copy and read the book. Afterwards, you can post a review on goodreads or simply on your blog. (Not required but it would be best appreciated if you do)
